Never Give Up!

“Many realize their great degradation.  They say, ‘I am not fit to be helped.  Leave me alone.’  But the workers MUST NOT DESIST.”   --  COL, p. 235.

When I was a teenager we “hung out,” as we called it, on the corner by the fire station.  One day I can remember that a man came over to us teenagers and began to tell us about Jesus.  He had his Bible with him and was attempting to show us Scriptures.  

To my great shame I made fun of the man.  I even pushed his Bible closed!  I am so glad that the Lord didn’t say, “You had your chance, Tony.  No more!”

No!  Yahweh our heavenly Father is longsuffering with us.  He never turns away from us but pursues us and says, “Son! Daughter!  Come back home!  Come to Me!”  Let’s never give up on anyone.  The “workers must not desist!”
