More of What Jesus Said

“A spirit of intercession was seen, even as was manifested before the day of Pentecost.  Hundreds and thousands were seen visiting families and opening before them the Word of God.  On every side doors were thrown open to the proclamation of the truth” -- 9T, p.126.

Note:  The Lord’s messenger saw “hundreds and thousands” in the last days visiting families, and doing Bible studies with them.  Perhaps she saw your face among that crowd of active saints!  Already we have seen doors thrown open to the proclamation of the truth!  Let’s continue to be about our Father’s business.

“Our work has been marked out for us by our heavenly Father.  We are to take our Bibles and go forth to warn the world.  We are to be God’s helping hands in saving souls  -- channels through which His love is day by day to flow to the perishing.” -- 9T, p.150.

Note:  We don’t have to guess what our work is.  God has marked it out for us, and it involves Bible studies and house to house visiting.  Brothers and sisters, we have our marching orders!

“Men will soon be forced to great decisions, and they must have opportunity to hear and to understand Bible truth, in order that they may take their stand on the right side.  God is now calling upon His messengers in no uncertain terms, to warn the cities while mercy still lingers, and while multitudes are susceptible to the converting influence of Bible truth.” -- Evangelism, pps. 25-26.

Note:  As Seventh-day Adventist Christians, we have the greatest message ever given to the world.  It is a message of life and death!  We need to share what we know.  Impression without expression is depression.  God “in no uncertain terms” is calling us to work!

“If we would humble ourselves before God, and be kind and courteous and tenderhearted and pitiful, there would be one hundred conversions to the truth where now there is only one.” -- 9T, p.189.

Note:  Imagine a hundred-fold increase in baptisms and church growth!  We have just been told the secret.  Adventists should be the happiest, kindest, and most courteous people on the face of the earth!  Sometimes we forget to be kind and tenderhearted and courteous.  Many times we remember just one of the above traits, and that one is pitiful!  Let’s let the Lord’s agape love make us the people He wants us to be!

“With one hand the workers would take hold of Christ, while with the other they would grasp sinners and draw them to the Savior.” -- Evangelism, p.293.

Note:  What a beautiful picture of witnessing is represented in this one sentence!  This is witnessing in its simplest form: introducing an earthly friend to a heavenly One -- Jesus!

“More people than we think are longing to find the way to Christ ... But many people are sadly ignorant in regard to the plan of salvation.  They need more instruction upon this all important subject than upon any other.” -- Gospel Workers, p.158.

Note:  The people need more instruction on the gospel than any other.  This includes Adventists too.  In this class you will learn a simple, clear gospel presentation that you can share with the church and the world.  The gospel is the power of God unto salvation!  It is the theological hub that holds the spokes of the church together allowing it to roll on!

“Now, now, now is our most favorable time to work.  Individual visitation is of great value.  In love for Jesus Christ and love for human souls the truth is to be carried to every family, talked of by every fireside that is possible for you to find access to.”  -- That I May Know Him, p.330.
