Breaking the Ice with F.O.R.T.
F.O.R.T. is to be used when visiting someone who has NOT YET agreed to do a series of Bible studies with you. It is a way to break the ice and lead the conversation, smooth as silk, to spiritual things, and to your own testimony!
| F = | Talk about their FAMILY. “Is that a picture of your children on the television set?” |
| O = | Talk about their OCCUPATION. “What kind of work do you do?” |
| R = | Ask them about their RELIGION. “Do you go to the beautiful Methodist Church I passed on my way here?” |
| T = | Give your brief TESTIMONY. “I grew up a _______ but I didn’t really know Jesus ...” |
