Friendship Evangelism Works!

It is always easier to lead a friend, neighbor, co-worker, and family member to Jesus because you already have a relationship with them.  For this reason correspondence studies often fail.

But there is a lot you can do to reduce the failure rate of your correspondence studies.  The form on page 16 that you send with your first lesson has a place for the student to put his or her number on.  If you can get the phone number of your student, a short call when you receive each completed lesson will go a long way toward making a friend for Jesus.  You can call them, pray with them, send them a birthday card, etc.

The more personal contact you make with an interest, the better chance that he or she will be baptized and take his or her stand in God’s remnant church.  Friendship evangelism works!  Do a little something for someone in the spirit of Jesus, hearts will be touched, and they will want to help you, too, by letting you share God’s Word with them!
