Tips for Gospel Workers 1-12

1. When you visit someone in the home, always call first whenever possible.

2. Visit at a convenient time. (Not during the Super Bowl, World Series, etc.!)

3. Be friendly and cheerful and always bring an appropriate tract, book, or video you could leave with them.

4. Bring light and not heat!  Don’t argue or debate, just lovingly instruct and share!

5. Keep your visit short, always under an hour if possible.

6. Be a good listener, and always be humble and respectful of their home, their pets, their children, and their name, etc.

7. Share some Bible promises with them before you leave, and always leave with a prayer said.

8. When visiting non-Adventist interests, always encourage them and be excited about what they’re excited about!  What’s old hat to you is new and exciting Bible discoveries to them!  Fan the flames!

9. Invite them to meet you at church and then to go to your house for a Sabbath meal.  This is one of the best evangelistic tools.  While there, ask them to do you a favor, and let you share a Bible study series with them.  Then do the first lesson you color-coded into your Bible with them!

10. Ask them if there are other family members you could meet, or friends that might enjoy a visit, also.

11. Make them your friends, and help them in any way you can.  This is true gospel work!

12. Plan a fun thing to do with them and your family or another church family.
