The Word of God
Bible Marking Assignment
Lesson 2

"... For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning.  And from ancient times things that are not yet done ..."

Isaiah 46:9-10, NKJV

All of the Bible -- both the Old and the New Testament is inspired by God.  We are born again via the Word of God, and Jesus said we are to live by “every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."  God’s Word will endure forever, and we get faith from hearing this precious Word preached and taught.  Jesus (Yahshua the Messiah) is the One the Scriptures testify of.

Matthew 4:4, Isaiah 40:8, Romans 10:17,2 Timothy 3:16, and John 5:39

The Bible is not open to “private interpretation.”  The Bible interprets itself.  Jesus taught us to take all the pertinent verses on a single subject throughout the Scriptures so that we get the full meaning, rather than trying to draw the meaning from just one text.

Luke 24:27

If we hide the Word of God in our hearts, (our minds), it will keep us from sinning against God.  Those who add to, or take away from the Word of God will have their names taken out of the “book of life."   The Bible is the “sword of the Spirit” -- the weapon we use to fight the devil and his lies.  If we will only read and believe God’s Word, our hearts will be filled with joy and rejoicing!

See Luke 24:27, Psalm 119:11, Revelation 22:18 & 19, and Jeremiah 15:16.

We can keep our way pure, by taking heed to what God’s Word says.  In the prophecies of the Bible, Yahweh the God of heaven has given us history in advance!  For example, an
ancient king by the name of Nebuchadnezzar had a dream in which he saw a giant statue made of various metals.  This statue had a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, stomach
and thighs of brass, legs of iron, and feet of iron and clay.  A "rock" cut out “without hands” struck this huge image, and then the rock became a great mountain that filled all the earth.  This rock represented Jesus Christ, the "Rock of Ages."  The various metals are representative of the kingdoms Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome.  The iron legs were a symbol of the Iron Empire of ancient Rome.  It broke up to form the nations of modern Europe.  This is what the ten toes of the statue made of iron and clay symbolized!  The rock (a symbol of Jesus) struck the image on the feet.  Likewise, the Lord Jesus will come and put an end to the kingdoms of this world!  He will begin to reign as “King of Kings, and Lord of Lords."

See Daniel chapter 2 & 1 Corinthians 10:4.

"... the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure."
