Lesson 32: The Good News about Making a Decision for Truth |
![]() |
There's Power in the Blood of the Lamb |
We have come to the last lesson in the
Good News
About God’s Truths Bible studies. You have learned many things
about the Lord, His word His laws, and His principles!
But all the things you have learned and the decisions you have made about these
truths mean nothing unless you live out what you know to be God’s will.
1. What does the Bible say it is when someone knows to do right and yet
does not do it?
James 4:17.
Answer: .

With knowledge comes responsibility!
2. How might Jesus answer us if we said to Him, “Lord, I see the truth about
your law and your seventh-day Sabbath, yet I am not ready to obey it”?
John 9:41.
Fill in: Jesus said to them, "If you were , you would have no ; but now you say, 'We see'; therefore your ."

It is a very serious matter to agree that something is God’s truth and yet go on
living a life that
violates that truth! Jesus said that doing such is living in sin!
3. If we are truly “born of God,” what will we not continue to do?
1 John 3:9.
Answer: .

Remember that verse 4 of the same chapter tells us that sin is breaking God’s
law!
We have also learned that sin is not doing what we know God commands us to
do.
If we reject Christ as Savior, or work on God’s Sabbath day, or break any of
His moral laws, or eat foods that God said we are not to eat, or destroy our body
temple by smoking or by drinking alcohol, or steal God’s tithe from Him, etc.,
we are sinning and doubly so if we know better!
4. When is it that we have fellowship with one another and when is it that
the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin?
1 John 1:7.
Answer: When we in the as He is in the .

The blood of Christ will not cover willful disobedience that is not repented
of!
See
2 John 9.
5. As far as we know, Felix was never saved. What was the answer he gave to Paul when Paul was trying to teach him about “righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come?” Acts 24:25.
Fill In: "... thy way for this ; when I have a season, I will for thee."
![]()
Felix fought against the conviction he was receiving from the Holy Spirit.
He told Paul to “go thy way” until a more “convenient” season had come.
And it never did, as far as we know. His procrastination may have cost him
eternal life!
There are some today who are putting off making a decision to be baptized and to
join
the remnant church who love Jesus so much that they are willing to keep all of
God’s commandments!
They are waiting for a more “convenient” time to make the decision to follow Jesus
all the way!
But such reasoning will cost many eternal life! “Now is the appointed time,
now is the day of salvation.”
2 Corinthians 6:2. If not now, then when?
Ellen White wrote the following words in the book Patriarchs and Prophets,
page 423.
"It is important to believe God’s word and act upon it
promptly, while His angels are waiting to work for us.
Evil angels are ready to contest every step of advance. And when God’s
providence bids His children go forward, when He is ready to do great things for
them, Satan tempts them to displease the Lord by hesitation and delay... any delay
on their part gives time for Satan to work to defeat
them."
6. How did the rich young ruler feel after he walked away from
Jesus because he felt that what Jesus was asking him to do was too much
of a sacrifice?
Mark 10:17-22.
Answer: .

It is truly a sad feeling one gets when he or she walks away from known truth
to walk in the shadows of error and
non-commitment!
Oh friend, Jesus loves you so much! He died on the cross for you! He
wants so much to see you walking in the light, being obedient to His word and His
law! He didn’t hold back anything to save you and me. How can we but give Him
our all? He will take care of any hindrance you may have whether it be fear, a job
situation, a resistant spouse or family member, or fear of loss of friends. I have
never heard of or seen anyone who was sorry they decided to follow God, join His
church, and keep His commandments! By His grace you can do what He asks!
We would love to see you become a part of our church family. Please pray about this
and give serious consideration to this matter. By the authority of His word we know
that this is something the Lord wants you to do. May God bless you. Our best wishes
and concerned prayers are with you and your loved ones.
Please answer the following questions. We really do appreciate your willingness to
study these lessons and to draw close to Jesus. Thank you.
7. Have you been impressed by the Lord to be baptized, re-baptized (if you feel
this necessary), or to join the church by profession of faith (if you want to be a
member but feel you were properly baptized in another church already)?
Answer:
Yes
No
8. Is there any Bible doctrine taught in these lessons that you do not believe, or
cannot abide by?
Answer:
Yes
No
If yes, then which one(s)?
9. Would you like to be included in our next baptism?
Answer:
Yes
No
10. If you answered “yes,” we praise the Lord for your decision to obey this
important teaching of Jesus. If you decided against this at this time, is there
something that is hindering you from taking this step that perhaps we could pray
about or help you with?
11. If you, for one reason or another, do not feel that you can be baptized or
join the church at this time, are you planning to be baptized, re-baptized, or join
the church by profession of faith in the near future?

Yes
No
12. Would you like a pastor to call or visit you to discuss this matter with
you?
Answer:
Yes
No
13. Is there anything that you would like the prayer warriors at our church
to pray about?
14. Would you care to share your feelings about our church or any other related matter? We do highly value your opinion.
This lesson and little questionnaire was not meant to pressure you in any way
to be baptized. This is the Holy Spirit’s work! We only want to encourage you
as you are being led by the Spirit to consider this important matter.
There are many other study books and advanced lessons and study materials for
those who do decide to join the church. Please consider this matter carefully and
prayerfully. You will never regret making the decision to be baptized and to join
God’s remnant church! Once again, our love and prayers are with you. We will close
this last lesson with the following quotation from the Spirit of Prophecy
that you learned about in a previous lesson.
"Baptism is a most solemn renunciation of the world. Those who are
baptized in the threefold name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, at the
very entrance of their Christian life declare publicly that they have forsaken the
service of Satan and have become members of the royal family, children of the
heavenly King. They have obeyed the command: 'Come out from among them, and be ye
separate, ... and touch not the unclean thing.' And to them is fulfilled the
promise: 'I will receive you, and be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons
and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.'" 2 Cor. 6:17-18 --
Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 6, p. 91.
15. Please give us your opinion of these lessons that you completed.
16. Are there any specific questions that you would like answered that were not covered in the lessons? If so, please list them.
